 | A report from captain on patrol says that there are 240 volunteers and
120 available to patrol the trail. They will be using bicycles and ATVs.
There will be lights on the ATVs to distinguish them from recreational
riders. |
 | A technical committee is being formed that will go over bids. June or
July is when the bids are expected to be released. |
 | Construction on the trail is expected this fall. There will be more
extensive work needed on some bridges than previously expected due to
wash-out on this section of trail. |
 | The Trail Commission was asked if it was interested in acquiring an old
depot located in Armada. This depot could be moved onto the trail. It could
end up as a sight to see along the trail? The Friends group was asked if it
would be interested in it as a special project. We discussed we would only
be interested if it were moved first. Then we could take on the
refurbishing. It is also possible though that the Village of Armada could
want to keep it. |

 | A woman with the last name of Ross wants to donate $50,000 for a gazebo
(memorial) to be located near West Road in honor of her parents. |
 | F.Y.I. John Crumm says that there is earmarked $3 million to be used in
2006 towards the creating of a trail overpass at the Van Dyke Expressway. |
