 | A Wood Chipper was provided by Dave Gondert. A tire had to be replaced
on the chipper during the day. The crew was able to backtrack on the
trail and pickup addition trees not chipped from earlier cleanups. A
motion was made to pay Dave $100 for the use of the chipper. Approved by
Chuck Mabley / John Tarantino. |
 | Numerous shingles were bagged and hauled out to the road. |
 | A pickup cap was pulled from the ditch along the trail. |
 | This cleanup had 5 – 6 people with chain saws. |
 | Lunch was tailgate style. Thanks to John Tarantino for soliciting all
the lunches for the three cleanup dates. |

 | Trail Commission status – Chuck Mabley
 | Digital copy of the revised Master Plan was received by the County. It
should be approved next month. |
 | The Engineering firm completed work on 11 intersections for the first
third of the trail. All road crossings need a 90 degree crossing for
safety. |
 | Trail will be moved to East side of right of way along West road at
the grain elevator. |
 | John Crumm will have copies of the Master Plan available. |
 | A review of the Master Plan is planned for July 15, 2003 with the
engineering firm. |
 | Bids for construction could be as early as end of July. |
 | Construction is expected to start this fall. |
 | Reviewing the costs for black topping the first section from Dequindre
to 29 Mile rd. |

 | Future Cleanup date has been set for September 20, 2003
 | Board approved an additional 500 brochures to be printed. Chuck Mabely
/ John Tarantino. Additional discussion was on creating a trail status
document for insertion into the brochures. General consensus was to keep
the number of brochures low and include updates in the brochure itself. |
