Detroit News is requesting that Lee Sorensen write a guest column for the paper.

Lee was disappointed with the fundraiser meeting.

The treasurer’s report shows an end of August balance of $5,026.26. Motion made to approve made by Dennis and seconded by John. Expense of $86.65 was submitted by Lee and approved.

Trail Commission Status

Mr. Rapp wants to get relief on road.

Commision will look at solutions for zoning issues

Will take time to make good decisions

What is the direction of the trail do they maintain park atmosphere

Fundraising meeting

MDOT gave $100K to use for video, fundraiser and John Krum thought we would need to raise $500K.

LED lights is dropped to due lack of interest

Good Old Days – Thanks to Clinton River Riders all went well

Peach Festival – All went well

Applefest – October 12 &13 – Application was submitted. We need to schedule people. Maybe Gail will do this?

Business cards - $13 for 20 cards each is approved. Chuck made a motion and it was seconded by Rich Platz. They will include job title.

Letter of intent will be tabled until next meeting.

Trail mix – We have 84 bags left. Dennis makes a motion for them to be sold for a $1 at a bike ride by John Tarantino, who seconded the motion. The rest will be given away at the Applefest.

A motion passed to reduce the price for the shirts to $10 and $15 for the sweatshirts.

Six shirts will be donated to the commissioners.

Membership price for a family will be reduced to $10 in a motion made by Rich and seconded by Chuck.
