HCMA, Armada, Paint Creek Trail, Shelby Twp., and Romeo for sending
representatives to our April event. |

In order to protect ourselves from conflicting information, we will
consider Lee Sorensen as our official spokesperson when it comes to the
press.

 | Rich Platz reports that all raffle shirts have been sent except for Matt
Goetzinger’s prize. Gale Barr will deliver since she lives nearby. |
 | The first official MOT Trail Commission meeting will be held June 18 at 10
a.m. at the Shelby Township Hall. So far five entities will be represented:
Richmond, Washington, HCMA, Shelby Twp., and Macomb County.

 | Merchandising –
 | After much discussion, many feel buttons/badges might not be worth the
effort. |
 | Trail mix will be tabled until June. More information is still needed. |
 | Talk about LED and other ideas at next meeting. |

 | Brochure design –
 | Motion made by Dennis Tipsword to "revamp" brochure, update
wording, add calendar if possible, add zip + 4 digits, and then order
1,000. Meeting times should also be part of the brochure. Motion is
seconded by Dave Rumohr and passed. |

 | There is no new update on Armada Township’s status on the trail. |
 | National Trail Day is June 1, 2002
 | The Rumohr's, Christine Hamilton, and Lee Sorensen say they can attend. |
 | Hands Across the County Line will also happen this day. |

 | Richmond Trail Preview
 | Maybe tie this into Bill’s Run? Christine will check to see if
possible. |
 | Richmond Township has not voted on this issue but is considering proposing
a millage for the trail in August primary. |

 | Stoney Creek bike shop is planning a bike demo. day on the evening of
Thursday, June 6. |
 | Membership card discussion
 | Dennis Tipsword makes a motion, seconded by Dave Rumohr, to issue
membership cards starting in 2003. |

 | MLC offered to send out MOT flyers to their membership. We do not see a
need to spend the money to send these out at this time. We will touch base
with them again. |
 | We might want to consider buying or just borrowing a bullhorn for upcoming
events. |
 | Looks like Proposal 2 will make revisions to how much the DNR could invest
into projects such as ours. We should benefit if this proposal passes. |
 | MOT Trail Commission, as of 4:45 p.m. today, received a grant of $1,030,
975+. This needs to be put on the website!

 | Instead of Armada Fair this year we will consider having Trail Previews. A
preview could work in Richmond in August and/or in Armada during the
Applefest. |
